Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is a style of yoga that is practiced in a room heated to about average body temperature. It is also known for a distinct sequence of therapeutic poses.

Vinyasa simply translated means flow.

Following the breathe we move from one pose to the next which keeps the heart rate up and give the class a smooth steady pace. The class builds in succession, each pose prepares the body for the next.

We practice The Barkan Method of  hot yoga.

The Barkan Method is a style of Hatha Yoga that originated from a lineage in Calcutta, India. The Barkan Method finds its roots from this lineage in Calcutta, but also integrates postures from other styles of Yoga to create variations and even greater range of motion.
